TBRU™ Contest

Enter the Mr. TBRU™ Contest

Would you like to be our next Mr. TBRU™, TBRU™: Bear, Cub, or Admirer? Pick your category below (or let us know if you need help choosing the right category).
Our contest is a fun and light-hearted contest. No interviews. No long hours of time commitment during the event weekend.
Granted titleholders are awarded title patches, cash, and other gifts... plus the bragging rights for a year.
Our contest requires only four slots of time to participate:
1. Pre-TBRU Zoom call orientation. Sunday, March 2nd. Time and link to be emailed to you.
2. Friday evening contest meeting (approx. 45 minutes)
3. Sell Raffle tickets for a short time - at the ticket booth - on Saturday.
4. Saturday evening Contest during dinner (approx. 2.5 hours)
Our contest team will follow up with you closer to the event to provide all the contest details. There is no cost to enter and it is open to all registered attendees* that are in good standing in their community. Check out the details and the FAQ page at TBRU.org. **Please note individuals are allowed to only compete in the contest a total of four times.

We want everyone to feel welcomed and part of the event. Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, if you require special accommodations, please indicate the type required

  • We welcome our Deaf and hard-of-hearing Bears to join us at TBRU™!
    If you are in need of ASL (American Sign Language) Interpretation at some of our staged events, please check this option. This will help us plan to have the proper amount of ASL interpreters.

  • If you anticipate you require transportation in a vehicle with a wheelchair lift to attend any of our off-premise excursions, please check this option. The Dallas Bears will make every attempt to provide accessible transportation. Some public venues and areas may not provide optimal accessibility.

Whatever you decide to do, it will be fun.

Texas Bear Round-Up Terms & Conditions

Registrants must meet the following:

  • Must adhere to the TBRU™ Code of Conduct.  https://www.tbru.org/code-of-conduct
  • TBRU™ is a niche/affinity event designed for gay men in the Bear community, admirers, allies, and those who want to join in the spirit of brotherhood and friendship. We all express ourselves in different ways and you are welcome to be yourself at TBRU™. It is very important to the Dallas Bears that our trans brothers know that TBRU™ is a safe place and you are celebrated and welcomed at TBRU™!
  • Each Attendee must complete their own individual registration - with their own personal email address, etc. (we encourage you to NOT use employer emails).
  • In order to prevent fraudulent charges and to resolve possible relationship/ friendship changes - your payment must match the name of the attendee. Each person must use their own form of payment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age prior to the start of the event on March 13, 2025
  • Must provide, physically - in person, an unexpired government-issued photo ID (driver license, state ID card, military ID, or passport) that provides a recognizable photo of you and clearly states your date of birth. Pictures or paper copies of your ID are NOT acceptable. 
  • In Texas, a valid and unexpired government-issued photo ID is required to enter any venue that serves alcohol. You must have your physical ID on you in order to enter bars, etc. Bars cannot accept pictures or photocopies of your ID.
  • IF THERE IS ANY DOUBT IN DETERMINING YOUR DATE OF BIRTH OR AGE - THE DALLAS BEARS MAY REFUSE ENTRY TO THE EVENT. TEXAS STATE LAW REQUIRES YOU TO POSSESS A VALID GOVERNMENT-ISSUED ID TO ENTER A BAR OR VENUE THAT SERVES OR SELLS ALCOHOL
  • International guests (non-U.S. citizens) must provide an ID or Passport
  • Busses for excursions load approx. 30 minutes prior to departure (check the schedule). 15 minutes prior to departure, all unclaimed seats are re-sold on a first come, first served basis. EXCURSION TICKETS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE if you do not attend or miss the bus.
  • Attendees are responsible for their personal behavior and their personal health. Under the advice of your physician - you are encouraged to have appropriate vaccinations, take personal precautions, etc.
  • Before the event - there is a deadline to cancel your registration and to request refunds. After the cut-off date please understand that at that point in time TBRU™ had to pay for your registration regardless if you attended or not. See the TBRU™ website for refund details.
